2010 XXL Freshman of the Year
I'm the type of person that enjoys listening to up and coming acts because the hunger at this stage of any artist's career bring out raw emotion and makes the best music sometimes. I heard of all these dudes but never took the time to hear em all out so thanks to people at XXL and DJ Whoo Kid their all on one cd for my convenient listening.

Shit I'm Watching : Brooklyn's Finest [Review]

Posted by IDKShit on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 , under , | comments (0)

Brooklyn Finest was a horrible movie. The first thing that screwed it up was the casting, I busted out laughing when Don Cheadle appeared in the movie as a drug dealer. This dude looked like an uncomfortable actor and a bad undercover cop all at the same time, completely painful to watch. To add the casting director basically used every supporting actor from the Wire and expected the authenticity of those roles to carry over to this film. Secondly who styled the "gangsters"? Excessive obvious fake jewelry, DuRags worn in public with the flap hanging lmao, Fila jumpsuits and sneakers, and don't let me get started on Wesley Snipes rat tail shit he had going on. You're probably thinking these are just cosmetic flaws in the script. Yeah you're right but if someone is going to make a movie about Brooklyn they better make it feel like Brooklyn. The plot had a bunch holes in it as well. Watching the movie made me feel like I reading one of those super thugged-out black books where everything is over done to the point its non believable. Ethane Hawke's character a crackheadish thieving cop had like 7 kids with two more on the way, a decently sized house and he's stressing like a pager cause he don't know where he'll fit them all. Don Cheadle plays the undercover cop, old and swagless as all hell, the movie makes no attempt to explain why he's really doing what he is there to do. Not too mention his undercover ass hides out in a high rise plush ass suite whenever he wants to get away from the projects. Richard Gere plays the old 20 and out, addicted to prostitutes type cop, that's just trying to make it to his retirement peacefully, but his last few days involves two rookie cops making some very deadly decisions, on their first days on the job. Wesley Snipes was laughable not a Nino Brown at all. From the moment the movie started I wanted it to end. If you planning on watching this movie bootleg that shit please.

IDKShitBut I Rate This Movie : 3.5 out 10

The Other Woman

Posted by IDKShit on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 , under , , | comments (2)

So you blink and all of a sudden find yourself in a relationship. Suddenly you feel pressured to somehow juggle your new lady and the woman you have some type of platonic connection with. You may think that both females can co-exist but in all actuality you and I know that could never happen.

First thing you gotta come to realize is that:

No one, male or female wants to share their significant other with someone that shares the same chromosome make up as themselves.
Especially when it comes to women, because when it comes to them in thinking about being with someone forever, they are thinking about more than the sexual connection.
Women look for that companion they can take that journey with. So once you bring another woman in the picture and you tell her you have no interest sexually in this woman, you raise questions in your woman. She starts to feel a void in you're relationship because you have some connection with a woman that you may not have with her.

I'm sure most woman will say they don't mind their spouse having a female friend (which they shouldn't) but are they truly willing to share their man?

Here's some tips to ease your females into their unnatural relationship.
  • Don't force it, this can actually make it worst and eventually you'll most likely lose one of them if not both
  • Make it known that one asked for the other specifically for invites to places, it shows that someone is reaching out to the other
  • Never spend time alone with the friend, its always raises unneeded thoughts
  • If you and your "Friend" had any type of relationship more than friends never bring it up ever, actually you might as well dead that because this definitely is not going to work
This is what both women are thinking when this situation happens.

I Tweet (And I'm Late) But This Shit Is Still Funny

Posted by IDKShit on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 , under , , | comments (0)

So apparently I tweet too much, brought to my attention by my girl. To my defense the only social network I am on is Twitter (and this blog). No more Facebook, and never had a Myspace page. Even after watching this video though I still feel there's still some type of need for social networking, keyword "networking". Like seriously why would someone limit the size of their world? The internet brings and connects people from allover who otherwise would never have heard of one another. Twitter introduced me to some great musicians, linked me to some dope blogs, and great minds alike. We gotta except the new social norms. Before Twitter, there was texting, before texting there were phone calls, before phone calls there were letters but ok ok you get the point.

Anyways Enjoy

P.S. My only dislike on Twitter is the people with thousands of followers that think they're somewhat famous.
