Shit I'm Watching : Brooklyn's Finest [Review]

Brooklyn Finest was a horrible movie. The first thing that screwed it up was the casting, I busted out laughing when Don Cheadle appeared in the movie as a drug dealer. This dude looked like an uncomfortable actor and a bad undercover cop all at the same time, completely painful to watch. To add the casting director basically used every supporting actor from the Wire and expected the authenticity of those roles to carry over to this film. Secondly who styled the "gangsters"? Excessive obvious fake jewelry, DuRags worn in public with the flap hanging lmao, Fila jumpsuits and sneakers, and don't let me get started on Wesley Snipes rat tail shit he had going on. You're probably thinking these are just cosmetic flaws in the script. Yeah you're right but if someone is going to make a movie about Brooklyn they better make it feel like Brooklyn. The plot had a bunch holes in it as well. Watching the movie made me feel like I reading one of those super thugged-out black books where everything is over done to the point its non believable. Ethane Hawke's character a crackheadish thieving cop had like 7 kids with two more on the way, a decently sized house and he's stressing like a pager cause he don't know where he'll fit them all. Don Cheadle plays the undercover cop, old and swagless as all hell, the movie makes no attempt to explain why he's really doing what he is there to do. Not too mention his undercover ass hides out in a high rise plush ass suite whenever he wants to get away from the projects. Richard Gere plays the old 20 and out, addicted to prostitutes type cop, that's just trying to make it to his retirement peacefully, but his last few days involves two rookie cops making some very deadly decisions, on their first days on the job. Wesley Snipes was laughable not a Nino Brown at all. From the moment the movie started I wanted it to end. If you planning on watching this movie bootleg that shit please.

IDKShitBut I Rate This Movie : 3.5 out 10
